Objectives: improvement of quality indicators of academic achievement, attendance and academic discipline of students during the educational process; development of personal discipline, intellectual and creative abilities of students; providing a mechanism for realizing the rights of students to participate in the management of the quality of the educational process, initiating proposals to expand the range of additional educational services, informing the university administration about the problems in student learning activities and informing the students about the measures taken, and suggesting measures to improve the organization of training activities.
The congress of the elders of academic groups is a meeting of representatives of students with the leadership of the university for close cooperation in the organization and management of the educational process.
First Congress of the university Soviet of praepostors. About 500 headmen of academic groups, deans of faculties, heads of structural subdivisions took part in the work of the Congress.
Structure of the Soviet of praepostors: Chairman, Deputy Chairman, members of the Council. Meetings of the Council of Heads of Academic Groups are held quarterly on the basis of the work plan for the academic year. Meetings with the university management are carried out at least 1 time per semester.
In the 2019-2020 academic years with a majority of votes from the Faculty of Law, a member of the Council of the praepostors of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was elected the head from the group Juristprudence-27 - Asel' Muhtarbek, and the head from the group Juristruprudence-21- Baimakhan Aruzhan was elected chairman of the Council of the praepostors of the Law Faculty.
In the 2018-2019 academic years with a majority of votes from the Faculty of Law, a member of the Council of the praepostors of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University was elected the head from the group Juristprudence-25 - Khursanai Baratova, and the head from the group Juristruprudence-27- Nurdilda Bayondy was elected chairman of the Council of the praepostors of the Law Faculty.
