Council of young scientists

 

The Council of Young Scientists (hereinafter - CYS) of the Faculty of Law is a member of the Council of Young Scientists of ENU.

 

The legal status of the Council is determined by the Regulation on the Council of Young Scientists of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The main goal of the Council of Young Scientists at the faculty of Law is to unite young scientists, express their interests, assist in raising the professional level and more fully realize the scientific potential of young scientists.

The main tasks of the Council are:

- activation of professional growth of young scientists, combining their efforts to develop relevant scientific problems and solve priority scientific problems, the development of innovative activity of young scientists;

- coordination, monitoring and analysis of the activities of the Councils of young scientists of the faculties of the University in the implementation of the goals and objectives specified in the regulations and work plan of the Council for the current academic year;

- encouraging young scientists to publish articles in international journals;

- organization and holding of scientific conferences, visiting schools, seminars and meetings, series of lectures by leading scientists, exhibitions, forums, congresses and other events in which young scientists could take part;

- promoting the publication of young scientists, the provision of methodological, organizational and material support;

- financial support for the participation of talented and promising young scientists (non-undergraduates and doctoral students of the University at the time of application) in national and international conferences, seminars, symposia and internships at the expense of the University;

- facilitating access to the use of University equipment (including expensive) by young scientists;

- creation of databases of young scientists in order to form a personnel reserve (including a reserve of managerial personnel) for the University, the public sector, scientific, technological and educational complex;

- creation of a database of young scientists who went abroad. Establishing contacts with them for the purpose of joint work, as well as attracting them to work at the University;

- organization of information support for young scientists on funds, grants, conferences, schools, competitions and other events in the Republic of Kazakhstan, CIS and foreign countries, on measures of state support for young scientists in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- carrying out activities to attract students of higher educational institutions in academic science, popularization of science;

- conducting seminars on the latest outstanding scientific achievements of domestic and foreign scientists in scientific fields;

- promoting the development of direct contacts between young scientists for the organization of interdisciplinary complex research by young scientists aimed at solving urgent and practically important problems of modern science;

- conducting periodic sociological research to identify the problems of young scientists.

The work plan CYS of L.N. Gumilyov ENU for the 2018-2019 academic year approved by the Dean of the law faculty, which includes the main activities conducted by the faculty and the university, namely the approval of the work plan of the CYS of the faculty of Law of the ENU, the formation and approval of the Council of Young Scientists of the Law Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, consideration of the «Regulations on the CYS of L.N. Gumilyov ENU » and the «Rules for the competition of scientific works of young scientists of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University», the formation of a database of young scientists of the faculty, participation in international scientific conferences, participation in the competition of scientific works of young scientists, participation in the holding of round tables, participation in the international scientific conference of young scientists of L.N. Gumilyov ENU «Science and Education», conducting the results of the work of the CYS of the faculty of Law of ENU.

Members of the Council of Young Scientists are representatives of the departments of the faculty under the age of 35 years, engaged in active research activities. The Deputy Dean for scientific work approved the composition of the Council; the term of office of the Council is one year. The composition of CYS of the faculty of Law of ENU for 2018-2019 academic year is 10 people.

In order to form a personnel reserve (including a managerial personnel reserve) for the University, the public sector, the scientific, technological and educational complex, the CYS of the Law Faculty has compiled a database of young scientists of the faculty of Law of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The scientific passports of young scientists are filled in two formats: Word and Excel.

Young scientists of the faculty of Law are directly involved in the organization and conduct of scientific activities of the faculty.

1.    January 24, 2019 held a scientific and practical seminar of the Council of young scientists of the faculty of law on "the Centenary of the International labour organization. Promoting social justice, promoting decent work.".

6. February 19, 2019 round table on "Youth for the rule of law" dedicated to the Year of Youth.

7. As part of the celebration of women involved in science, the Council of young scientists of the faculty of law held a seminar-lecture on February 11 on "the Role of Young Science in Law Faculty in the development of science of young scientists."

Research work of CYS of the faculty of Law is carried out by the teaching staff, PhD students and undergraduates within the departments.

Members of the CYS of the faculty of Law firm actively participate in the work of scientific circles of beginning scientists and talented students. The position of scientific circles approved at a meeting of the Scientific and methodological Council of the faculty of Law of "21" February 2013, Protocol № 9.
