On April 3, 2023, the Department of International Law opened the Decade of Science with the opening of the jubilee X International Scientific and Practical School (hereinafter referred to as the ISPS): "Actual problems of the theory, practice and teaching of international law", dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the specialized Department of International Law of the ENU. In 2023, the main theme of the 10th ISPS is "Alternative Methods for Resolving International Disputes".
The first guest lecturer was the director of the private institution "Institute for Conflict Resolution and Mediation", Pak Alexander Borisovich. Lecturer A. Pak held a master class for the students of the International School of Public Relations: “Some approaches to acquiring effective communication skills in professional activities”, where he spoke about the types of communication in the legal profession, the concept of the “Karpman triangle”, mediation as an alternative means of resolving disputes and its role In Kazakhstan.
The guest lecture aroused the interest of the audience, questions were asked. At the end of the lecture, the head of the department of international law, Doctor of Law, Professor Tlepina Sh.V. expressed her gratitude to the lecturer for a very interesting and informative lecture and presented a certificate for participation as a guest lecturer of the ISPS.
