On October 30, 2020, the Department of International Law of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov and the Department of International Law of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) held an International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Organization, the 60th anniversary of the RUDN University, the 25th anniversary of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU on the topic of "75 years of the UN: contribution to peace, rule of law and sustainable development."
The conference was moderated by the head of the Department of International Law of RUDN University, Doctor of Law, Professor, member of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Abashidze A.Kh..
The conference was held according to the plans of fundamental and applied scientific research within the framework of the implementation of grants from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2020 on projects of two fundamental research carried out by the faculty of the Department of International Law of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU together with the Department of International Law of the RUDN University and scientific organizations of our country.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the SanktaLex law firm of the Moscow City Bar Association, KazAeroSpace LLP, as well as international law scholars and students of the Eurasian National University them. L.N. Gumilyov, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia), Moscow State Law Academy named after O.E. Kutafin (Moscow, Russia), Saratov State Law Academy (Saratov, Russia), European Humanities University (Vilnius, Lithuania), Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don, Russia), Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), Tajik State University of Law, Business and Politics (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), Tashkent State Law University (Tashkent, Uzbekistan).
Conference materials are presented in Kazakh, Russian and English. The collection includes articles on such topics of international legal science as the achievements and prospects of the UN and the International Court of Justice on various issues, the law of international treaties, the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, international environmental law, protection of human rights and freedoms and national minorities , interaction of international, domestic and integration law, legal regulation of genomic research, international economic law, international space law, history of science of international law and others.
Collections of materials of the international conference were sent to the libraries of the L.N.
