On September 21, 2018 the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted a webinar within the site of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University with the online participation of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the following theme :"Implementation of the norms of international treaties in the field of human rights (civil and political rights) into the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

This event is stipulated by the item 7.10 of the Work Plan of the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018 approved by the decision of the Scientific and Methodological Council (Minutes No. 4 of December 26, 2017) within the framework of the fundamental and applied research of the Department of international legislation and comparative legal study.

Conducting fundamental, scientific and applied research (FSAR) in the field of legal support for government activities is one of the main activities of the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the FSAR is to increase the efficiency of norm-setting activities and to strengthen the role of legal science in ensuring of the social and economic development of the republic.

The Deputy Dean on work with students of the Law Faculty of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Zh.D. Seilkhanov, head of the department of international law of the Law faculty of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Sh.V. Tlepina, acting associate professor of international law of the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi Kazakh National University D. V. Tatarinov, the Deputy director of the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zh. O. Kulzhabayeva delivered the welcoming address to the participants of the webinar.

The moderator of the event was the head of the Department of the international legislation and comparative legal study (DILCLS) of the Institute of Legislation M.Zh. Kulikpayeva. The webinar was built in the format of an online lecture of the main scientific employees of the Institute of Legislation, professors of the Department of International Law of the Law Faculty of L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University - Ye.M. Abaideldinov and M.A. Sarsembayev. In addition, the webinar's broadcast was available through the live broadcasts on the Facebook  and YouTube , where everyone had the opportunity to  participate: to ask questions and get answers.

The target audience of the webinar was the bachelor students, master's students, Ph.D students of the specialty "International Law" of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During the webinar, various aspects of civil and political rights were raised: from the history of the establishment of basic documents in the field of human rights to the content of individual rights and their implementation into the national legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan .The theme of the webinar attracted interest from the audience, and students of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and al-Farabi Kazakh National University asked a number of questions concerning the deprivation of citizenship, the practice of the European Court of Human Rights , international standards in the field of human rights, the prospects of the  creation of the a human rights catalog within the space of the EAEC etc. At the end of the webinar, an exchange of views took place and the results were summed up.

Taking the opportunity, the Institute of Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan expresses gratitude to its partners - L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in the face of the rector Ye.B.
