On May 13, 2023, the Republican Olympiad on International Law was held in Almaty on the basis of KIMEP University, which was attended by 5 Kazakhstani universities - L.N.Gumilev Eurasian National University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Karaganda State University named after L.N.Gumilev. Buketova, Turan University (Astana) and the University of National Economy (NARKHOZ).
Our students - Nurtugan Zhansaya, Bolatova Aruzhan, Aubakirov Beybarys and Askarov Sanzhar showed good results.
At the first stage, which was conducted in the state - Kazakh language, the task was to answer 50 test questions on public international and private international law.
At the second stage, the participants had to fill in the missing terms, dates, surnames of prominent figures of international law in the text in writing. Our students successfully coped with the tasks and made it to the final stage, where only 10 of the 25 participants of the competition passed.
The last stage is a detailed answer to questions on branches of international law in English before the members of the commission, consisting of teachers of the KIMEP School of Law and attracted legal experts.
The closing ceremony of the Olympiad was held in a friendly atmosphere, all participants were awarded certificates.
