In many states, legislative functions are determined not only by the highest representative body. The government is an active subject in the exercise of legislative power, endowed with a wide range of constitutional powers in legislative activity. The participation of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in lawmaking is one of the priority areas of its activity. Such a role of a state body objectively follows from the constitutional provision of the Government. The modern role of the supreme executive power of the Republic of Kazakhstan is characterized by the fact that the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan exercises constitutional powers in law-making activities and this is enshrined in the provisions of Articles 61 and 66 of the Constitution.
