At the Faculty of Law of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, 4th–year students enrolled in the educational program "Civil Law and Civil Procedure" study the elective course "Legal regulation of conciliation procedures in civil proceedings", the teacher is Ph.D., Professor of the Department of Civil, Labor and Environmental Law Zharkenova Svetlana Bakhytovna. As part of the study of this discipline, on October 12, 2022, students visited the Reconciliation Center, which was established with the support of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of Astana. The Center carries out complex work, starting from determining the nature of the appeal, the category of the dispute, the method of resolving the problem, consulting, choosing a mediator, and up to resolving the problem by facilitating the adoption of actions by the authorized body or drawing up a mediation agreement with the provision of related services.
Coordinator of the Reconciliation Center judge-mediator Togusova Zhanar Kabylkhanovna told the students about the work of the Center, acquainted the students with the work of mediators. A kind of "round table" was held, at which students were able to ask their questions about the conciliation procedures conducted at the Center. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to communicate with the practicing mediator Shalgazina Sholpan Akzambekovna.
The coordinator of the Reconciliation Center, Judge Togusova Zh.K., agreed to accept students to the Reconciliation Center for practical training, where they will have the opportunity to accumulate practical work experience.
