The prevention of extremism and terrorism, as well as the main areas of work, are one of the priorities of state policy. Supervisor Akshalova R.D. familiarized students with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in this area, in particular with the Laws "On religious activity and religious associations", "On the fight against extremism" and anti-terrorist work. Also during the lecture, the concepts of religion, secularity, secular state, the main tasks of the state policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of religion were revealed.

R.D. Akshalova devoted special attention to the policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of religion, foreign policy initiatives of Kazakhstan in the field of interfaith harmony and tolerance. Many countries believe that Kazakhstan is a territory of harmony and tolerance, because:

1) By establishing a constant interethnic, intercultural and interfaith dialogue, Kazakhstan removed the threat of the spread of extremism and terrorism on its territory;

2) In the most difficult conditions of the first years of sovereignty, when the country was faced with the urgent tasks of state-building, the principle of the formation of identity on the basis of citizenship, and not ethnicity, was put in the basis of the state structure of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) The spiritual revival of the country has been ensured, and the most important thing is national consent and tolerance;

4) Interethnic and interfaith dialogue has become a powerful factor in strengthening harmony and tolerance in society;

5) Kazakhstan has become an international center for dialogue of all world and traditional religions.

Further, the lecturer switched to the national legal regulation of the activities of religious associations, in particular, the adoption in 2011 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On religious activities and religious associations" was noted, which is aimed at improving state-confessional relations, ensuring the security and legal framework for the actions of religious organizations and reducing the level of opportunities for the use of religion for destructive purposes.

The concept of religious extremism and religious terrorism, as well as measures taken by the Republic of Kazakhstan to counter these challenges and threats in accordance with the State Program on Counteracting Religious Extremism and Terrorism in Kazakhstan for 2018-2022, did not go unnoticed. It should be noted that a feature of the State Program is the content of new forms and methods of

organizing the work of state bodies countering religious extremism and terrorism, including measures to increase the religious literacy of the population.

Students listened with great interest to this lecture, noted the cruelty of terrorists and the need to combat religious extremism and terrorism. Many students emphasized the relevance of the lecture given in the light of the latest events in the world.
