On December 25, 2020, the international scientific and practical conference "International law and human rights in the modern world: problems, challenges, prospects" was held, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the honored scientist Of the Russian Federation, Honored Professor of Kazan University, Professor of the Department of international and European law Gennady Irinarkhovich Kurdyukov and Honorary worker of higher professional education of the Russian Federation, Honored scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Professor of the Department of international and European law Lenaris Kharisovich Mingazov.

The conference was attended by professors of the faculty of Law of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University and guests from other universities of the Russian Federation from near and far abroad.

The first Vice-rector of KFU, Riyaz Gataullovich Minzaripov, opened the work of the international scientific and practical conference with a solemn speech. Further, a number of eminent academicians, professionals in the field of law, including the Dean of the faculty of Law of the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian University Baurzhan Momytbekovich Smatlaev, made welcoming speeches.

After the ceremony and greeting words was the hearing of the plenary lectures, which were Aslan H. Then the first session was held, which had the theme: "international legal personality: problems and prospects". Yu.N., Professor, Vice-rector of the Diplomatic Academy of the MFA of Russia (Moscow, Russia); Maxim Alexandrovich Likhachev, PhD in law, associate Professor of the Department of international and European law of the Ural state law University (Yekaterinburg, Russia) and other specialists in the field of jurisprudence and international law.

Special panelists were Kamil Abdulovich Bekyashev, D. Yu.N., Professor, member of the Permanent court of arbitration of the UN and of International arbitration the law of the sea UN, honored lawyer of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Russia) and Damir kamilevich Bekyashev, D. Yu.n, associate Professor of international law, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (Moscow, Russia).

After the lunch break took place the meeting of the second session under the theme: "human Rights and the challenges of modernity: international and domestic dimension", where the moderator was harisovna Sariya Saburskaya, the Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, Tatarstan) and Rustem shamilievich Davletgildeev, D.
