At the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, much attention is paid to the prevention of crimes related to the prevention and control of drug addiction and similar crimes. For example, on February 09, 2022, the curator Baymoldina S.M. held a curatorial hour on the topic "Current problems of combating drug addiction in Kazakhstan" in a curatorial group studying in Russian. At this curatorial hour, topical issues of combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were discussed. Revealing the problems of combating drug addiction, modern legal norms and historical aspects were highlighted. It was pointed out about the harm to health of non-medical consumption of narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs, the harmful effect on human organs and tissues, especially on the nervous system.
