Conducting debates on the discipline: "Fundamentals of anti-corruption culture".

 

On the initiative of the UN, the International Day Against Corruption is celebrated annually on December 9.

On this day in 2003, the UN Convention against Corruption was opened for signature at a high-level Political Conference in the Mexican city of Merida.

The document obliges the signatory States to declare bribes, embezzlement of budget funds and laundering of corruption proceeds a criminal offense. According to one of the provisions of the Convention, it is necessary to return funds to the country from which they came as a result of corruption.

As part of the activities of the annual plan, teachers of the Department of TIGiP,KP Ibrahimov Zh.And Abdilov K.S. on the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day on 11/29/2021, a debate was held on the discipline "Fundamentals of anti-corruption culture" among the 2nd year teams of the Kazakh Department of the Faculty of Law of the L.N. Gumilev ENU.

The topic of the debate was determined "Will Kazakhstan be able to eradicate corruption by 2050". During the debate, representatives of the teams outlined their vision of the issue within the time proposed by the regulations. Then the teams exchanged questions and answered the opponents' questions.

The task of such events is to promote the development of active citizens who are able to analyze information and make the right decision. Debates help to develop communication skills, the ability to analyze a large amount of information and choose the right decision from many others.

The students showed a high level of knowledge, the ability to work in a team. Both students and teachers received a good charge of energy and positive emotions from the debate.
