On October 27, 2022, a meeting was held between the faculty of the Department of International Law and undergraduates from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), who came under the double degree program for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Negotiations on the implementation of the double degree program began in March 2021 and ended in August 2021 with the signing of an interuniversity Agreement on the development and implementation of a joint educational program. According to this Agreement, undergraduates study at ENU for the first year of study, at ASUPT - for the second year of study. The languages of the joint educational program are English and Russian.
On October 25, 2021, 6 undergraduates of the scientific and pedagogical direction arrived at ENU, who will study in English. The meeting was opened by the Head Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of International Law, Tlepina Sholpan Valerievna. Having warmly greeted our guests, she introduced each teacher of the department, spoke about the upcoming scientific events, about the current research club “International lawyer’s club”. The first Doctor of Law in International Law, Professor of the Department of International Law, Sarsembaev M.A., also spoke to the undergraduates, who greeted the guests and spoke about his experience in Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Master's adviser, PhD, acting Associate Professor, Iskakova Zh.T. spoke about the choice of the topic of dissertations and the basic requirements for entering the defense of master's theses in Kazakhstan.
Deputy Dean for Student Affairs Kurmanaliev E.K. spoke about the rules of training at ENU and the prohibition of labor activity for foreign citizens during training.
Doctor PhD, senior lecturer, Akshalova R.D., as responsible for the implementation of the double degree program and for research work, spoke about the publication of scientific articles, about the need to resolve all emerging issues immediately for any reason.
I would especially like to note that the double degree program is being implemented for the second year. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 8 undergraduates arrived, who continue their studies in the 2nd year at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The implementation of this program became possible after the active and fruitful cooperation of our universities in the framework of the academic mobility of students. For the 2021–2022 academic year, 32 students studied under the academic mobility program, 14 students studied in the fall semester, and 18 students studied in the spring semester of the 2021–2022 academic year.
Taking this opportunity, we express our sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for assistance in the implementation of the double diploma program, especially to the rector Gafurzoda A.D., the department of international relations represented by Asoev A. and the head of the department of international law Saidmukhtorov A.A.
