Invited foreign scientist Solntsev A.M. took part in IX International Scientific and Practical School of International Law

On November 1, 2022, a guest lecture was held at the Department of International Law by Invited Foreign Professor of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Department of International Law of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia), a member of the Russian Association of International Law, a member of the International Law Association of International Law.  European Association of International Law, member of the European Center for Space Law, member ofthe World Commission on Environmental Law of the International Union for conservation of Nature, member of the European Forum of Environmental Law, Solntsev Alexander Mikhailovich in the program of the IX International Scientific and Practical School on International of International Law"Actual problems of the theory, practice, and teaching of international law".

The guest lecture on "Environmental Human Rights: Finding a Place in the Human Rights Catalog" was held in an online format on the Microsoft Teams platform.

Within the program of the guest lecture, Solntsev A.M. focused the attention of the audience on international documents that keep the right to a favorable environment and its evolution into the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment. For more details, A.M. Solntsev told the history of the emergence and classification of environmental rights, stopped on universal and regional mechanisms for the protection of environmental rights in the European Union, the Council of Europe, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the Un Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the Organization of American States and the African Union. in addition, the issues of protection of environmental rights in the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies, the application of the Aarhus Convention of 1998 and the 2018 Escazu Agreement for the Protection of Procedural Environmental Rights were highlighted. 

The guest lecture exited the interest of the listeners, questions were asked. At the end of the lecture, Tlepin Sh.V. expressed gratitude to the lecturer for a very interesting and informative lecture, and wished good health and professional success.
