Invited foreign scientist Abashidze A.Kh. took part in IX International Scientific and Practical School on International Law

On November 2, 2022, a guest lecture was held at the Department of International Law by a foreign professor, Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of International Law of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia), Vice-Chairman of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Chairman of the International Law of the Russian Association for UN Assistance, Member of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia in Law, Advisor to the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Abashidze Aslan Khuseinovich in the framework of the IX International Scientific and Practical School on International Law "Actual Problems of Theory, Practice and Teaching of International rights".

The guest lecture on the topic: "Problems of the theory, practice and teaching of international human rights law on the example of the family institution" was held online on the Microsoft Teams platform.

As part of the lecture Abashidze A.Kh. focused the attention of listeners on current trends in the field of regulation of marriage and family relations, in particular - the issue of registration and dissolution of marriage and marriage in general. Aslan Khuseinovich spoke in more detail about the policy of gender self-identification, gender difference and the policy of Western states in the field of maintaining gender diversity. In addition, issues and problems that arise at the intersection of gender diversity and gender self-identification with traditional cultures and religious beliefs of various states were highlighted.

The guest lecture aroused the interest of the audience, numerous questions were asked. At the end of the lecture Tlepina Sh.V. expressed her gratitude to the lecturer for a very interesting and informative lecture, and also wished her good health and professional success.
