On July 3, 2019 teachers Yessirkepova M. M., Karazhan B. S. and doctoral student Kostyanaya Yu. S. took part in the Conference on legal issues of AIFC "the Right of AIFC: further steps to development", which was held within Astana Finance Days. The event was dedicated to the jurisdiction of the AIFC and its further steps in development.
The conference was attended by representatives of leading international law firms such as Baker & McKenzie, White & Case, Norton Rose Fulbright, Curtis Mallet-Prevost, embassies, universities, professors and lawyers.
Speakers were authoritative international experts, including respected authors, judges and legal experts, such as: the Chairman of the AIFC Court Lord wolf, the Chairman of the International Arbitration Center of the AIFC, the Royal lawyer Barbara Domann, and the Chairman of the Legal Advisory Council of the AIFC, the Royal lawyer Michael Blair and many others. Were discussed
recent changes in the AIFC law, explained the legal features of the AIFC.
Particular attention was paid to the AIFC Court on the basis of the principles of law of England and Wales. The speakers stressed the importance of alternative dispute resolution in the International Arbitration Center - a tool for business development in Eurasia and beyond.
Also July 4, 2019 teachers Iskakova Z. T., Esirkepov M. M., Karazhan B. S. and doctoral student, Bone, Y. S. participated in Demonstrations of the processes of arbitration and mediation conducted by the International arbitration centre (MATS) of IFCA.
As part of this Demonstration, all guests were given a unique opportunity to observe the arbitration process and mediation conducted under the leadership of the Chairman of the IAC Barbara Domann, with the participation of members of the Board of IAC, leading international arbitrators and mediators, such as: Dr. Stefan Grigolly, member of the Board of arbitrators and mediators of the IAC; Thomas Kryummel, member of the Board of arbitrators and mediators of the IAC; Sir Robin Jacob, member of the Board of arbitrators and mediators of the IAC.
