On December 6, 2022, representatives of the Department of Expertise of Projects on International Economic Integration of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Department of International Law with a guest lecture.
The following speakers were represented by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
1. Head of the Department of Expertise of Projects on International Economic Integration of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Zhanna Talapovna Sapina;
2. Chief Expert of the Department for Expertise of Projects on International Economic Integration of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Altynbekova Aliya Kambarkyzy;
3. Experts of the Department of expertise of projects on international economic integration of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Keshubaeva Zhuldyz Maratovna and Kuanyshbaeva Amina Bakytzhankyzy.
The moderator was Roza Dzharasovna Akshalova, PhD, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Law. The meeting was also attended by the faculty of the Department of International Law represented by Zhanna Turkistanovna Iskakova and Karazhan Bekmyrza Serikuly, as well as 4th year students of the educational program "6B04202 - International Law".
In their speech on the law of the EAEU, the speakers spoke about the history of the creation, structure, and activities of its main bodies, including the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Court of the EAEU. The issues of labor migration and protection of Kazakhstan's national interests in the EAEU were also covered.
The lecture aroused keen interest among the audience, which was expressed in numerous questions regarding Kazakhstan's membership in the EAEU: Kazakhstan's protectionism, shortage of goods, import substitution, relocation of factories, cooperation in the energy and engineering sectors, and many others.
The lecture ended with watching a video about what the EAEU is and taking pictures together.
