Several Turkish universities entered the top 100 according to the ranking of universities in developing countries. One of these universities is Suleyman Demirel University in Isparta. It is a state university, founded in 1992, with about 70,000 students (the second largest educational institution in Turkey) in various specialties.
The program of academic exchange "Mevlana" provides for the exchange of students between the Eurasian National University named after Gumilev and Turkish partner universities for one or two semesters. Thus, by submitting documents for this program, a 4-year law student in the specialty “International Law”, Alikhan Nurlan, underwent English-language training at Suleyman Demirel University from September 2018 to January 2019. The Faculty of Law of the University named after Suleyman Demirel was founded in 2009. The building of the faculty is the newest and therefore the most modern. Thanks to the professional approach of the faculty of the university, Alikhan Nurlan studied not only such disciplines as “Introduction to law”, “Migration law”, “Humanitarian law”, “Transport law” during the period of his stay in the above-mentioned university, but also studied Turkish language at the same university, participated in the cultural and social life of the university. In Suleyman Demirel University there is a student club where debates were played between university students. Also for acquaintance with Turkish culture for foreign students held concerts of Turkish artists.
Examinations began immediately after the end of the semester, the session lasted from December to mid-January. Alikhan successfully completed the semester and passed all exams.
Studying at Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey left a vivid impression on Alikhan Nurlan. The knowledge gained, as well as the experience of living in another country, will help Alikhan Nurlan to more effectively complete his studies at the ENU named after Gumilyov and successfully implement the knowledge gained during all the years of study at the law faculty at two universities.
