On April 12, 2023, within the framework of the Decade of Science held at L.N. Gumilyov ENU, a discussion was held on legislation regulating anti-corruption activities by the student club "Adilet". The discussion was attended by students of the Faculty of Law of educational program 6B04204 – “Judicial and prosecutorial, investigative and criminalistic activities". The organizers of the event are Senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, PhD Daurembekov E.K. and senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, PhD Kalmaganbetova D.B. The main goal of the club is to improve the quality of professional training of students, the development of their professional traits, skills and qualities of intolerance to corruption.
The discussion touched upon the fundamental problems of corruption offenses in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the anti-corruption policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, aspects of combating corruption offenses, criminal sanctions that are applied to persons who have committed these offenses were considered. Students actively discussed the causes and historical roots of corruption, material and moral damage caused to citizens and the state in the process of corruption offenses and crimes. The current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of corruption offenses was analyzed, as well as positive foreign experience.
