On March 14, 2023, the Department of International Law of the Faculty of Law of L. N. Gumilyov ENU organized a meeting with employers, government agencies, stakeholders and interested parties to discuss key competencies and results of educational programs of three levels of study: bachelor's, master's, doctoral studies.

 

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of International Legal Problems of the International Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Legal Sciences Kantarbekova A.M.; Adviser to the Director of the RSE at the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor Kulzhabayeva Zh.O.; Chief Lawyer of the AIFC Administration Dosmurzinov B.Zh. 

 

The dialogue platform for discussing key competencies and skills for students of international law educational programs provided an opportunity to determine the assessment of employers' satisfaction with the level of quality of graduate training.

 

The adviser to the Director of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information Kulzhabayeva Zh.O. made proposals for the presentation of disciplines of a practice-oriented nature, in particular, "Mechanisms for filing and considering individual complaints to UN Committees", "Digitalization and international law".

 

The head of the Department of International Legal Problems of the International Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kantarbekova A.M. proposed the discipline "Modern problems of international law".

 

The Department of International Law initiated an open dialogue platform with representatives of employers to discuss amendments and additions to the educational programs of international law at the bachelor's, master's (scientific, pedagogical and profile) levels of law for further improvement of these programs aimed at training highly qualified young international lawyers of a new formation.
