Scientific and methodological seminar of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines

On 01.02.2022, a scientific and methodological seminar was held at the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines of the Faculty of Law on the results of the preparation of master's theses of the Educational program "Judicial power and Criminal Justice".
The scientific and methodological seminar was attended by undergraduates of the educational program "Judicial power and criminal justice" - Makhambetzhanova Zh.R. with a report "Criminal law and criminological measures to counter domestic violence" under the leadership of Doctor of Law, Professor Ongarbayev E.A., Hangelda N.E. with a report "Coordination activities of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan to ensure law and order" under the leadership of the Head of the Department of Criminal Law disciplines Sembekova B.R., Mukataeva A.K. with a report "Social adaptation of persons who have served a criminal sentence in the form of deprivation of liberty freedoms: penal and criminological aspects" under the guidance of Doctor of Law, Professor K.Zh. Baltabaev.
Undergraduates revealed the key positions of their scientific research, identified the relevance, novelty, and practical significance of their dissertations. The reports of undergraduates aroused keen interest among the present teaching staff, undergraduates, this is evidenced by the formulation of a large number of questions to the speakers, the nomination of recommendations on improving the substantive basis of dissertation research.   
The scientific and methodological seminar was held at a high scientific and methodological level, undergraduates received an information base on the methodological support of the procedures for defending master's theses; identified the issues of using information technology to effectively support the defense of dissertation research, the processes of passing through the "Anti-Plagiarism" system, noting academic integrity, which deserves attention.   
The undergraduates who made presentations expressed their gratitude to the teaching staff and the undergraduates who took part in the seminar for their active participation in the discussion of their reports, as they received a lot of useful information for further work on improving their dissertations.
