The implementation of the first double degree master's program between ENU and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan has begun

On October 23, 2021, a meeting was held with teaching staff and undergraduates from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (Dushanbe, Tajikistan), who came under the double degree program for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Negotiations on the implementation of the double degree program began in March 2021 and ended in August 2021 with the signing of an interuniversity agreement on the development and implementation of a joint educational program.  According to this Agreement, undergraduates study at ENU for the first year of study, at APAPRT - for the second year of study.  The languages of the joint educational program are English and Russian.

On October 18, 2021, 8 undergraduates of the scientific and pedagogical direction arrived at ENU, who will study in English.  The meeting was opened by the senior lecturer of the Department of International Law, Akshalova Roza Dzharasovna, who served as the head of the department at that time.  Having sincerely greeted our guests, she introduced each teacher of the department, told about the upcoming scientific events, about the current scientific club “International lawyer’s club”.  Also, the undergraduates got acquainted with the advisor of the magistracy, PhD, acting.  associate professor, Zh.T. Iskakova, and their supervisors.  They explained the basic requirements for the defense of master's theses in Kazakhstan.

Then the students were given an excursion around the educational and administrative building, where they will have classes.  Audiences 324, 326 and 331 of the Department of International Law, the dean's office of the Faculty of Law, the general arrangement of classrooms, the dining room, the Atrium were shown.

Most notably, for the Department of International Law of both ENU and APARPT, this is the first interuniversity double degree program for the joint training of undergraduates.  Its implementation became possible after the active and fruitful cooperation of our universities in the framework of academic mobility of students.  For the 2020–2021 academic year, 57 students studied under the academic mobility program, in the fall semester of the 2021–2022 academic year, 14 students are enrolled.

All this became possible thanks to the warm friendly relations between the head of the Department of International Law of APAPRT, AA Saidmukhtorov.  and senior lecturer of the Department of International Law, Akshalova R.D., which began as part of their studies at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow, Russia) in the spring of 2019.
