The Philosophy and Sociology of Law course for 1st year PhD students of the educational program 8D04201-Jurisprudence was held at the Faculty of Law by visiting Prof. Marco Greggi during his short-term visit at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Marco Greggi is a PhD, Professor at University of Ferrara, Italy, specializing in the field of international law, philosophy of law, international tax law and taxation.
Lectures were held in an interactive mode with demonstration of presentations according to the syllabus and with active participation of PhD students. In addition, a number of consultations on doctoral dissertations covering such matters as the preparation of a research plan, literature overview, the choice of research methods, etc. were held.
During the visit, Professor also gave a guest speech at the meeting of the international student competition of scientific works dedicated to the Day of the First President – Leader of the Nation, inspiring both beginner and experienced researchers. Marco Greggi also met with the Dean and several professors of the Faculty of Law in an informal setting, where a plan for future joint activities and research was outlined.
All meetings and classes were held in the main building of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
