On December 15, 2022, the XVII Annual Conference on National and International Law International & Domestic Law 2022 was held at the V.F. Yakovlev Ural State Law University. This event brought together students and undergraduates from different cities of Russia, as well as from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as participants. The conference was held in the format of a round table on thematic areas among various legal areas. The event included 15 sections, which was held in a mixed format.
From the Department of International Law of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University took part in this conference in the section "International Law" 1st year Master student Imangaliyev Akyl and 4th year student Kabanbayeva Aisulu. Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), senior lecturer of the Department of "International Law", Akshalova Rosa Jarasovna acted as one of the moderators in this section.
The 1st-year master's student of the specialty "International Law" Imangaliev Akyl Yerkenovich made a report on the topic "International legal regulation of the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples. He presented in his report the existing international legal instruments and mechanisms for the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples, and then gave an example based on several cases at the practical level. After the presentation, the speaker answered the questions of the participants of the section. During the conference, the participants of the section "International Law" in their speeches noted the current issues and problems in international law. According to the results of the speeches among all the participants, Imangaliyev Akyl Erkenovich took 2nd place in the section "International Law".
