Lecture by the representatives of the University of Dundee

October 7, 2019 at the  Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyova held a lecture with representatives of the British University of Dundee.

University of Dundee is a relatively small British multidisciplinary university. The priority academic areas in it are medicine, in particular obstetrics, art, information and computer technology, law. In these areas, Dundee University is a leader in graduate employment in the country. He is recognized as one of the 30 best universities in the UK according to The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019: this year, the publication of the guide highlighted the strengths in teaching, student experience, and graduate prospects. Dundee ranks 2nd in Scotland in each of these categories.

The lecturer was Aude Fiorone Master of Laws, Senior Lecturer at Dundee University. She has extensive experience teaching private international law, both in Scotland and in France.

The lecturer examined the issues of Great Britain’s exit from the European Union, as this process is known, based on the result of a consultative referendum on June 23, 2016, when 51.9% of voters supported the British exit from the European Union. After the British parliament resolutely rejected the agreement with Brussels on Britain’s exit from the EU, the situation became unpredictable. Aude Fiorone provided a detailed analysis and forecasts of further development, which especially attracted the attention of students.

The event was attended by the Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumileva Raisova G.D., faculty and students of the department of international law.

At the end of the lecture, commemorative gifts were presented by both parties in gratitude and mutual respect.
