On October 12 , 2022 , a curatorial hour was held on the topic “Countering extremism and terrorism in the Republic of Kazakhstan” with students of the group “Judicial-prosecutorial and investigative-criminalistic activities” of the 3rd year. The curatorial hour was conducted by the senior lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, PhD Kalmaganbetova D.B.
The purpose of the curatorial hour is to explain to students what the danger of extremism and terrorism is, how to combat political and religious extremism. Explanations on extreme and radical views, national legal definitions in the field of extremism and terrorism are given.
International legal definitions and methods of prevention of youth extremism based on foreign experience are considered. Also, students were informed about official statistics and examples of committed acts of extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan
