On November 5, 2021, curator Oinarova A.A. held a curatorial hour on the issues of countering and preventing religious extremism in Kazakhstan. Within the framework of the curatorial hour, the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan of February 18, 2005 "On Countering Extremism", the Concept of State Policy in the Religious Sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2020, the State Program on Countering Religious Extremism and Terrorism in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2022 were discussed. The activity of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan was considered.
Working on the prevention of extremism with young people is one of the central points of the Joint Action Plan for the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia. During the curatorial hour, the activities of the youth movement against extremism were examined in order to reduce the risk of involving the country's youth in extremist and destructive religious movements.
