the Department of International Law held the XVI International Scientific Conference “ǴYLYM JÁNE BІLІM-2021”

As part of the celebration of the Science Day, for the second year in a row, the International Scientific Conference “ǴYLYM JÁNE BІLІM-2021” is held online on Microsoft Teams. On April 12, 2021, the Department of International Law carried out work on the subsection 10.5 “Public international law: new threats and challenges” and the joint subsection 10.6 “International commercial arbitration and private international law in the context of digitalization. The history of international law as a platform that connects the horizons of the past, present and future of international law”.

 

Conference participants made speeches in Kazakh, Russian and English on international maritime law, diplomatic and consular law, international commercial arbitration, international criminal law, etc.

 

In the work of subsection 10.5 “Public international law: new threats and challenges” participated the chairwoman of the commission PhD, Associate Professor-researcher Kala N.S.; members of the commission Candidate of legal sciences, Associate Professor Karabaev F.Zh.: Master of Laws, lecturer Kakhanov A.S.; moderator, PhD candidate Salykova D.O.: members of the staff of the Department of International Law; undergraduates and postgraduate students.

 

Based on the results of the conference the commission made the following decision on awarding:

1st place – 3rd year student Almazuly Abdurakhman Batukhan;

2nd place – 3rd year student Manap Zhamilya Timurkyzy;

2nd place – 3rd year student Aibolatova Diana Aibolatovna;

3rd place – 3rd year student Tauteev Eldos Kuesbekuly;

3rd place – 3rd year student Sarsenbekova Ainur Beksultanovna;

3rd place – 2nd year postgraduate student Kalieva Aruzhan Rustamovna.

 

In the work of subsection 10.6 “International commercial arbitration and private international law in the context of digitalization. The history of international law as a platform that connects the horizons of the past, present and future of international law” participated the chairwoman of the commission PhD, senior lecturer Zh.T. Iskakova; Master of Laws, senior lecturer Zukai Zh.; Master of Laws, lecturer Kamatova D.M.; moderator PhD candidate A. Yelegen; members of the staff of the Department of International Law, undergraduates and postgraduate students.

 

By the decision of the commission, the prize places within the subsection were distributed as follows:

1st place – 3rd year student Zhanadilov Akylbek Erkenuly;

2nd place – 3rd year student Kurmetkan Gasyr;

2nd place – 3rd year student Niyazov Marat Abaevich;

3rd place – 3rd year student Kulmukhanova Dana Bolatovna;

3rd place – 2nd year student Kanapya Muhammed.
