On December 3, 2021, a guest lecture on the topic «On measures taken to combat human trafficking» was read by Adilov Sanzhar Askenovich, Head of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Colonel and Tleuberdiev Amanzhol Dauletkhanovich, Senior Investigator for Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Police Lieutenant Colonel for the PPS and students of the Faculty of Law of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, KazHLU named after M.S. Narikbayev, University "Turan-Astana".
The delegation of ENU included students: A.N. Nurzhanova; (YR-44), Kudasbaeva R.S. (YUR-44), Akylzhanova A.M. (YR-42), Kuzbaeva K.Zh. (YR-42), Shorabek A.B. (YR-42), Barimbekov A.R. (YUR-42), Zhagalbayly A.A. (YR-44), as well as Bekmagambetov A.B., Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Ph.D.
The audience was shown a film about the solved criminal case against a transnational organized group that «traded» by supplying «live goods» for sexual exploitation from Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Russia and other countries to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The case is currently being considered in court. Graduate students and teaching staff actively asked questions about the factors of victimization of the population, compensation for harm caused to victims of human trafficking, international cooperation on the extradition of criminals.
The lecturers gave comprehensive answers to questions, shared their professional experience on the specifics of investigative work, invited to cooperate by organizing the activities of «Bolashak tergeushiler» student clubs, writing theses on the methods of investigating certain types of crimes. Methodological assistance for students of L.N. Gumilyov ENU future investigators will be provided by Zhankhan Nurbakyt Zhankhanovich, investigator of the Investigation Department of the Police Department of Nur-Sultan, police lieutenant colonel.
Bekmagambetov Alimzhan Baurzhanovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, member of the expert council of the Commission on Human Rights under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the grant project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating human trafficking, Ph.D, informed about the results of his own scientific developments, including the recently published on the basis of the Tambov State University named after G.R.Derzhavin, an international collective monograph «A theoretical model of the policy of combating crime associated with human trafficking».
