Doctoral students of the Department of International Law reported on the readiness of dissertations

On December 27, 2021, the Department of International Law heard reports on dissertation research of doctoral students of the Department of International Law for 2021. The meeting was attended by members of the teaching staff, doctoral students of the 2nd and 3rd courses of the Department of International Law. Doctoral students told about the readiness of the first chapter of dissertations.

Doctoral student Yelegen Akerke presented her dissertation report on the topic "Regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan and international medical law". During the report, the doctoral student emphasized the relevance of the research topic, as well as the level of study of the problems of legal regulation of artificial intelligence in the field of medicine in foreign and Kazakh scientific legal literature.

The topic of doctoral student Karazhan Bekmyrza "International legal problems of participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the World Trade Organization" caused a great discussion. During the report, the doctoral student spoke about the current problems in the foreign economic activity of the Republic of Kazakhstan due to WTO membership. The main trends in the development of international economic law were also noted.

Doctoral student Salykova Dinara presented a report on the progress of her dissertation research on the topic "International criminal justice bodies: genesis, current state, development prospects". As part of the report, the doctoral student presented the main provisions of the dissertation submitted for defense. The main trends in the development of international criminal law, prospects for Kazakhstan's accession to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court were also discussed.

2nd-year doctoral student Turarbekova Akmaral presented a report on her dissertation on the topic "International legal regulation on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (on the example of Kazakhstan)". Currently, the doctoral student is working on the collection and analysis of foreign and domestic scientific literature, approval of the research plan.

At the end of the meeting, the faculty of the department asked questions about the level of readiness of dissertation research, the number of scientific publications, and the passage of a scientific internship. Comments were made on certain issues by the participants of the meeting. At the end of the meeting, the members of the faculty of the department unanimously decided on the successful delivery of the reports of doctoral students.
