ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY OF THE LEGAL FACULTY OF THE L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University

One of the priority activities of the Faculty of Law is the active anti-corruption policy of the Law Faculty  L.N. Gumilev Eurasian Nation Univercity, aimed at an uncompromising attitude to corruption phenomena among the teaching staff and students. It is especially important to conduct anti-corruption propaganda among students in order to create an aversion to corruption and corruption actions, because in the future, students will join the ranks of civil servants, some of them will take the leadership positions of state organizations where there is a favorable opportunity for corruption risks.

Among the events held within the framework of anti-corruption policy at the Faculty of Law, it can be noted that the International Scientific Seminar on "Anti-Corruption Risks and Standards: Theoretical and Legal Problems", conducted on December 22, 2017, with the participation of foreign scientists from the Russian Federation. The organizer of this International Scientific Seminar is the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines of the Faculty of Law.

At this event, topical problems of criminal policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, modern methods of combating these types of offenses were considered.

The moderator of this event was AmandykovaSauleKoshkenovna - Dean of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, who delivered a welcoming speech and an interesting report on the topic: "Current Trends in Combating Corruption Violations."

Among the foreign participants, Svetlana VladimirovnaVoronina, a visiting professor of the Altai State University and a candidate of legal sciences, was a striking performance. Her report was devoted to the "Anticorruption Policy of the Russian Federation", in which she detailed the latest legal trends applied in Russia to identify and suppress corruption offenses, the specific features of preventing corruption in state bodies of the Russian Federation, as well as in the education system. For example, it is considered a corruption offense for a teacher to receive a bouquet of flowers from students and other students. A teacher who received a bouquet of flowers from students must return it or compensate its cost, i.е. redeem.

Then, IbrahimovZhamaladenIbrahimović - head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law, Doctor of Law, Professor, who stressed that in the prevention of corruption offenses it is necessary to educate anti-corruption behavior from an early age, even from a school bench.

His profound inferences were made by Professor of the Chair of Criminal and Legal Disciplines, Doctor of Law BaltabaevKuanyshZhetpisovich, who delivered a report on the topic "Anticorruption Policy in Kazakhstan". In his report, he noted that the fight against corruption is important for the rule of law and in Kazakhstan it has received due legal regulation.

AidrakanBaidekovich, Skakov, professor of the Chair of Criminal Law Disciplines, noted that corruption is now widely spread in Kazakhstan and law enforcement agencies of the republic are actively fighting with it.

Also, further on, Baimoldina Svetlana Malikovna, an associate professor of criminal and legal disciplines, candidate of legal sciences, with the theme of the report: "Criminal responsibility for corruption crimes in the Republic of Kazakhstan", in which she disclosed the specifics of criminal liability under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan

 Among the foreign participants was declared MongushAllaLoppanovna - candidate of legal sciences, head. (Tuva State University) with the theme of the report: "Fighting corruption in state bodies of the Russian Federation", Kuznetsova Olga Olegovna - Master of 1 course of the Faculty of Law of Altai State University and others.

 

In addition, renowned scientists of the Republic of Kazakhstan were announced as participants. Baurzhan M. Smatlaev - Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Doctor of Laws; Akpanov Arystan Nokeshevich - Professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines, Doctor of Laws and others.
