On September, 8th a meeting with first-year students was held at the Department of International Law. The meeting was primarily dedicated to the discussion of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s State of the Nation Address titled “Kazakhstan in a new reality: time for action”. The students discussed the content of the Address, the significance of the upcoming reforms, and talked about the issues that attracted the interest of future experts in the field of international law. Special attention was paid to the discussion of para. 5 “Accessible and quality education” and para. 11 “New quality of the nation”.
In addition, the students took the opportunity to ask the supervisor Kamatova D.M. about issues related to the educational process and use of the main online platforms in the period of distance learning. They were especially interested in studying in a multilingual group, which demonstrates the growing up of a new generation of experts in the field of international law.
In general, the meeting was held at a high level and was pretty useful both for the students themselves and for the members of the teaching staff of the Department of International Law.
