Meeting with Abel Polese

On November 23, Abel Polese, PhD, Professor of Tallinn University and Dublin city University, spoke at the V International school of science and practice.

Abel Polese presented his book "The SCOPUS Diaries and the (il)logic of Academic Survival", dedicated to the activities of a scientist at a modern University.

Also, the lecturer shared his vast experience in publishing in Scopus, told how to achieve a balance between what is expected of the scientist and what the scientist wants, which conferences should be attended, in which journals it is better to publish.

 Scopus is the largest single database containing abstracts and citation information of peer-reviewed scientific literature, with built-in data tracking, analysis and visualization tools. The database contains 23700 publications from 5000 international publishers, in the field of natural, social and humanitarian Sciences, technology, medicine and art.
