In order to activate network forms of cooperation between higher education institutions of Russia and Kazakhstan within the framework of the Network University of the Commonwealth of Independent States, on May 13, 2020, an inter-regional webinar “Prospects for inter-regional cooperation of a consortium of universities of Russia and Kazakhstan within the framework of the CIS CIS” was held with the participation of Russian and Kazakh partner universities.
Universities from Kazakhstan took part in this webinar: L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakh National University Аl-Farabi, South Kazakhstan State University and universities of the Russian Federation, such as Novosibirsk State University, Kuban State Technological University, etc. with the support of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples.
During the meeting, university representatives spoke about the best practices of universities participating in the CIS SU project. The session was attended by A.N. Zholdasbekova, Vice-Rector for International Relations, employees of the Department of International Cooperation and responsible faculty representatives for the implementation of double-degree programs. At a webinar on behalf of L.N. Gumilyov ENU was delivered by the head and professor of the Department of International Law, Tlepina Sholpan Valeryevna, who shared her experience in developing joint educational programs for double-degree education and employment of graduates of the SU CIS program. Also, together with universities of the Russian Federation, the implementation of networking programs within the framework of the CIS SU in the 2020-2021 academic year and the prospects for cooperation between universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan implementing educational programs in a network form in the post-COVID period were discussed.
During the partnership period, within the framework of the CIS SU, joint educational programs / double diploma programs were implemented and continue to be implemented with such universities as MGIMO, RUDN University, Moscow State Law University, NSU, Ural Federal University and 131 undergraduate students of L.N. Gumilyov ENU for training for one year with two diplomas.
