On February 19, 2015, a conversation was held with third-year students about the life and work of the outstanding legal scientist Salyk Zimanovich Zimanov, doctor of law, professor, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Sh.V. Tlepina told the students about the book "Salyk Zimanov. Materials for biography "(Astana, 2014) (the compiler of the book is IM Kozybaev).
The book is a collection of documents and materials of life and activities of S.Z. Zimanov. In the scientific revolution, documents were first introduced that testify to the views, thoughts of Academician Zimanov, collective appeals and public letters, fragments of memories of sorcerers and like-minded people.
Academician Zimanov was a participant in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The book recalls Salyk Zimanovich's memories of this period: "... my growing up and responsible life began and was in the army. In the war, officers grow in office. At the age of 23, I already commanded a mortar regiment (from June 1944 was deputy commander of the 615 mortar regiment for the combat unit). In early 1945, while remaining in his former position, temporarily served as artillery commander of the mechanized brigade as part of the 8th Mechanized Corps of the 5th Panzer Army. In 1945, after receiving a referral to study in Moscow for the Academy of Armored Forces, I refused. In June 1946, he was demobilized from the post of chief of staff of the artillery regiment.
