E.Abdrasulov became an honorary professor of the East Kazakhstan State University named after S.Amanzholov

 

Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law of the Eurasian National University after L.N. Gumilyov Yermek Abdrasulov gave a lecture at the East Kazakhstan State University named after S.Amanzholov.

The topic of the lecture: “Actual problems of modernization of the judicial system in the light of the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

Lecturers - students, undergraduates and faculty of the Faculty of Economics and Law. Representatives of the judiciary, the prosecutor's office, justice, as well as graduates of the law faculty of EKSU were present.

The lecturer outlined the main stages of the modernization of the judicial system in the light of the Address of the Head of State, the main focus of which is on the qualitative development and renewal of judicial system personnel. He informed about the measures taken to increase public confidence in the judicial system and ensure the rule of law, tools and mechanisms to improve the status of a judge, as well as experience in preparing candidates and selection for judicial posts in foreign countries.

 

E.Abdrasulov told about the work carried out by the Supreme Court in the framework of the “Seven Stones of Justice”, detailing the main directions of one of them - the Ministry of Justice, within which the important tasks set in the Message were implemented. The corresponding bill has now entered the Majilis of Parliament.

Upon completion of the lecture, E.Abdrasulov was awarded a diploma, a badge and a mantle of the honorary professor of EKSU named after. S.Amanzholova.

Rector of the EKSU, Professor Mukhtar Tolegen noted the contribution of E. Abdrasulova to the development of scientific and academic activities of the university. The professor, in turn, stressed his readiness for further cooperation with university scientists, to provide all possible assistance in the education of young legal scholars.

On the same day, E.Abdrasulova met with future lawyers - students of the law faculty of EKSU. During the meeting, the professor shared his scientific achievements, spoke about the development of his research. He dwelt at length on the development of the Academy of Justice at the Supreme Court, the preparation of future judges in its walls.

E.Abdrasulov answered the students' questions, wished them to develop in themselves such qualities as the versatility and diligence that they would need when choosing a profession.

Yermek Bayakhmetovich Abdrasulov - holder of an international grant from the M. Planck Institute for International Private Law (Hamburg, Germany, 2011), member of the Union of Lawyers of Eastern European Law (Kiel, Germany), secretary of the Central Council of the Kazakhstan Union of Lawyers. He has more than 160 scientific and educational works. Over the years, he worked as the dean of the law faculty of the EKSU named after Amanzholov, dean of the law faculty of ENU named after L. Gumilev, head of judicial research of the Supreme Court, and advisor to the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union. Currently, he heads the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Judges and Judicial Workers of the Academy of Justice at the Supreme Court.
