An international online round table organized by the Department of TIGP, KP was held

 

On April 15, 2019, within the framework of the University's Science Week, an international online round table was organized on the theme: “Corporate governance and anti-corruption in higher education on the example of Great Britain, USA, Russia and Kazakhstan”, organized by the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional Law Faculty of Law of the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilev. Lawyers from the University of the Peoples' Friendship University (Moscow, Russia), Pyatigorsk State University (Pyatigorsk, Russia), Tyumen State University (Tyumen, Russia) and Bristol University (England), Alberto College (Latvia) took part in the international round table, corporate governance and anti-corruption in higher education.

 

Moderator of the international online round table, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Amandykova SK made a presentation on "Some problems of corporate governance of universities." After that, the head of the Department of Criminal Law of the RUDN University, Doctor of Law, Professor Bukalerova Lyudmila Aleksandrovna spoke on the topic of the report: "Legal, organizational, pedagogical measures to identify and counter corruption risks in higher education: a comparative analysis." Then Ivars Chivchishs, Director of the Law and Business educational program, spoke on the subject: “The Educational System of Latvia”, analyzing the essence of reforms in higher education. The next report was made by the Deputy Director for Science, Doctor of Law, Professor Tkhabisimova LA, Director of the Legal Institute of Pyatigorsk State University on the topic “Examination of legal acts in educational organizations as a mechanism of anti-corruption counteraction” as well as a report on the topic “Corruption offenses in University system of developed and developing countries: the comparative legal aspect was made by Altynbasov Bakhyt Omirkhanovich Ph.D., associate professor, PhD doctoral student Bris Tolsky University.

 

After foreign scientists, Kazakhstani scientists who performed basic research in the field of higher education, spoke about the problems of corporate governance and combating corruption in higher education. As a result, the participants discussed and expressed their opinion on the above-mentioned problems of the higher education system at an international online round table.
